During the American Civil War, five prisoners decide to escape the horrors by hijacking a hot air balloon. They wind up marooned on a mysterious desert island, lost in space and time. They soon find out the island is home to other survivors who have also been lost in space and time, including two women from the 21st century who got stranded after going over the Bermuda Triangle. Together, the castaways must find a way to escape the island before they're defeated by vicious pirates, deadly creatures or the active volcano.
