Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) has a difficult time fitting in at school. When he's expelled for something he didn't do, he's surprised when his only friend, Grover (Aryan Simhadri) seems to turn on him.
Percy's mother decides to send him away to camp, finally telling him the truth. His father is a god, and Percy is a demigod. She sends him to a camp where he'll meet other children who are also descended from gods — Camp Half-Blood.
