Piñero Movie Synopsis

The true story of the creative but troubled life of poet/playwright/actor Miguel Piñero (Bratt), the Latin-American icon whose urban poetry is considered a pre-cursor to rap and hip-hop.

I`m sure it was an inspiration to many young people with desires of becoming involved in the arts. You have to push aside the sad parts of the movie to be able to appreciate Pinero`s life and talent. I`m sure there are many who have to give him credit for shaping their poetic/artistic efforts.

I don`t know what everyone is talking about. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The changes from Black and White to Colour as well as the directing add to the gritiness and realism of Pinero`s life. The film captured the time and feelings of Pinero. A great movie.

One of the worst movies I`ve ever seen in my life. Playwright was gross, cinematography did not make any sense (the director changes from color to black and white for pure entertainment). Nevertheless, Benjamin Bratt was excellent in his role as Piñero.
