As they are distributing leaflets calling for an end to the war, 21-year-old Sophie Scholl (Julia Jentsch) and her brother, Hans, are arrested and taken to Gestapo headquarters. There, over the last few days of her life, Sophie is interrogated about the details of her participation in the resistance group known as the White Rose.
