The Battle of Shaker Heights Movie Synopsis
Kelly Ernswiler, a 17-year-old high school student who thrives on war re-enactments, makes a friend, Bart Bowland, at a WWII re-enactment. The two team up, using their military know-how to get back at a bully at school who has been tormenting Kelly. They humiliate the bully in front of the whole school, and this victory gives Kelly the confidence to pursue Bart’s older sister, Tabby, who is engaged. However, Kelly's actions don’t endear him to Bart and their friendship becomes threatened.
A sweet coming-of-age tale with a twist from a first time writer, a heartfelt and funny film from first time directors, and a beautiful magnetic performance from the most gifted young actor working today. Shia Labeouf turns a good movie into something wonderful every time out and this one is no different.
Good -- loved Shiri Appleby in it and Shia is just so funny. It was a little quirky, but overall I enjoyed it.
