When her niece, Shirley (Loretta Devine), receives distressing news about her health, Madea jumps into action. Shirley wants to gather her three adult children around her and share the news as a family, but they're too distracted by their own problems. Tammy (Natalie Desselle), who's struggling with a broken marriage, can't handle her bratty children; Kimberly (Shannon Kane) puts her marriage in jeopardy by taking her anger out on her husband; and Byron, who's out of jail after two years, is getting pressure to deal drugs again.
It's up to Madea, with the help of the equally rambunctious Aunt Bam, to get the family together and make things right the only way she knows how: with a lot of tough love, laughter and the revelation of a long-buried family secret.

A laugh a minute heartbreaking comedy with No Big Mommas House like my friends said it would be./ Did not need Eddy M in, it was funny/ no Martin L / no need/great acting/interesting /funny/no it is not only one kind of audience the older couple sitting behind me were laughing loader then i a middle aged lady who went by myself/enjoyed it greatly/ it was funny and heartbreak/heartwarming/well acted. Can't wait for the dvd kind of fun movie! Nice directing job too!
