At left are views of Sandra Bullock’s mansion in New Orleans. She bought the home — which has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms — with husband Jesse James in June 2009 for $2,250,000. The three storey Gothic-Victorian mansion was built in 1876 by architect William Freret for James Eustis, a U.S. Senator and Ambassador to France. Bullock owns a substantial number of properties bought before and during her marriage to James that will likely be divided once their divorce becomes final. According to realestalker.com, their holdings include (but are not limited to) the following: Several residential and commercial properties in Austin, Texas, including a large house; An oceanfront property in Sunset Beach, California; A West Hollywood mansion next door to Cameron Diaz, purchased in 2001 by Bullock for $1,485,000; A townhouse in lower Manhattan Bullock bought in 2000 for $3,350,000; and an oceanfront spread she picked up in June of 2001 for $1,495,000 in Georgia within walking distance from a house owned by John Cougar Mellencamp.

People in the movie industry are really paid too much. I love her movies, but really, they should lower the price of movie tickets because we’re obviously getting fleeced while these people have 10 or more mansions. If they made enough to live comfortably, maybe have one mansion, but this kind of wealth is obscene when there are so many people who work really hard and never get ahead.

Wow! I live in a 2-bedroom, 900 sq ft apartment. It is one of the bigger places I have lived in. I don’t know what I would do with such splendor. Probably get more book shelves.
