Just goes to show Monkeys are not the cute little buggers we see at the zoo.I had a friend who had a pet spider monkey who peed all over the place dirty little things.I hope Jason is alright. Imagine having something like that jumping out of a tree (I don’t think this was a little spider monkey)and trying to bite your face off. Some of these vacation spots have a problem with monkeys attacking tourists. This was no funny matter.

Laughed my ass off when I read this! I doubt the monkey went for his face, he was probably going for his food and that skinny little wimp just panicked and had to go straight home to the USA! He probably exaggerated the story so he wouldn’t look like a buffoon. Gibraltar monkeys aren’t big, it would’ve weighed approx 20 pounds or less. I know Jason Biggs is sorta skinny, but he’s gotta weigh more than 100 pounds more than the monkey, too funny!

Well Mary, humans treat animals worse than this little isolated incident. In hiking, you’re bound to come across some wild animal once in a while. I’m not convinced it attacked him for his food. It’s possibly territorial.

K, First off in a lot of those countries tourists and locals feed monkeys to get them to come up to them and take a picture of them. Now they’re becoming really familiar with humans. Before, monkeys would run from any human they see. Now they come right up to you in some countries and jump on people’s back and so on. I watch way too much Animal Planet. Anyway, it wouldn’t surprise me that it was trying to get his food. Besides, I think “attack” was probably too strong a word. They didn’t mention anything about him receiving injuries. Besides, they probably cut it short cause they were freaked out. Most people react that way when a wild animal lands on them.

i admit, i thought it was pretty funny to read. im assuming if he was injured or whatnot they would have said that in the article? i hope hes ok and just a bit shaken up. imagine a monkey youre NOT expecting just comes along and JUMPS on you?!? lol. i could see why hed be scared, i would be but later itd be hilarious to me! i really like him in the movies hes in, i also really liked my best friends girl! i think my fave with him in it is loser.

Monkeys can be very viscious. A couple months ago it was in the news that this lady had a pet monkey and when her friend went there to visit, the monkey grabbed her cheeks and kept pulling until it tore her face off…..she had to have a face transplant.

Minerva, from what I’ve heard, she also lost both her hands, and may have some permanent brain damage, as well as blindness. You are right, they can be very viscious, the one in the States had reached puberty and the owner was giving him medication to relax him, which obviously didn’t work.

maybe he can use it in his next film…too bad, but they didn’t mention his injuries or to what extent, and he was in their territory…

now the whole face transplant thing, that is scary but interesting. I saw a documentary on that a year or more ago, didn’t know they could do it until then. It’s amazing how far we’ve come.
