Just hours after it was officially announced that Prince William will be marrying Kate Middleton, mugs, t-shirts, plates, replica engagement rings and other memorabilia were available for purchase. This coming February, Gallery Books will be publishing William and Kate: The Love Story. Gallery Books EVP Louise Burke said in a statement: “With another royal wedding imminent, this book will shed light on a relationship that has remained a mystery, yet is a true love story.”

Here are photos of the Prince and his bride-to-be through the years.

She’s gorgeous and I hope he turns out to be a better husband than his father.

He was a good looking guy but as he gets older he’s getting as creepy and goofy looking as his father. Kate is gorgeous.

Just my opinion, but I think it would have been nicer if William had given Kate her own engagement ring instead of Princess Diana’s engagement ring, just because it’s an engagement that never should have happened in the first place, with Charles still in love with Camilla. The marriage had such a tragic ending. Kate should have her own engagement ring, a hope with a new and happy beginning, not a ring encrusted with bad history. Then Kate could wear Diana’s ring on her right hand as an extra to keep her memory alive.

@Bizzybody, you raise some interesting points for sure…that ring is beautiful, but it is steeped in meaning and bad history – Kate wearing it on her right hand and getting her own ring sounds like it might have been a good option.

I really hope they stay together.

I have necklace and earring set that matches Kate’s ring. The set is appraised at $4545 as of 1995. I’d like to sell the set, so anybody interested, let me know. They are large sapphire stones surrounded by 40 small diamonds.
    Thanks 🙂

I don’t really consider royalty celebrities. I couldn’t care less about these two.

BizzyBody — I absolutely 100% agree with you!!

Here’s a tune and video that was written just for Prince William and Kate. Maybe they’ll play it at their wedding? It’s a nice jazzy tune by Roadmap Music: http://www.roadmapmusic.com/williamandkate/

I agree with Linda and Bizzybody, it’s always better to have your own engagement ring that your future husband has picked out especially for you. An heirloom is nice, but it doesn’t say anything.
