Date of Birth: May 12, 1978
Born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Jason Biggs began acting at the age of five in commercials and landed his first recurring television role when he was 13, on the sitcom Drexel's Class, starring Dabney Coleman. When the show folded after just one season, he made his Broadway debut opposite Judd Hirsch in the critically-acclaimed production of "Conversations with My Father." The show led to him being cast on the CBS daytime soap, As the World Turns.
His career took a huge leap in 1998, when at the age of 20, he was chosen to star in the teen sex comedy American Pie. The film about four young guys who all promise to lose their virginity by prom night was a major success in the summer of 1999. Following this success, he was cast in similar roles in teen comedies that were bombs, both at the box office and according to critics, such as The Loser (2000), in which he played a loser and Saving Silverman, which was another box office stinker.
He decided to take the safe route and agreed to appear in the sequel to American Pie in 2001. Biggs next did a North American tour of The Graduate, playing the role Dustin Hoffman had played in the film, but reviews for the play and for him, in particular, were less than stellar.
Biggs returned to the American Pie films with the third instalment, American Wedding (2003) but moved on to supporting roles in other films such Jersey Girl (2004), Eight Below (2006) and My Best Friend's Girl (2008). He once again reunited with all of his American Pie co-stars for the series' fourth film, American Reunion (2012).
He currently resides in Los Angeles.
