A very interesting movie.
Brilliantly performed, emotional story. It's great to see a small movie succeed in a large format.
Fantastic movie...teaches one to love life no matter what is going on.
SO good! Truly hilarious, poignant, deeply moving, back to lots of laughs - everything you'd want in a flick!
Given the seriousness of the topic, they managed to make an awesome movie that made me laugh and cry. The laughs are appropriate and does not trivialize the seriousness of cancer. The journey of dealing with cancer that Adam and the people around him takes is very realistically portrayed and all the actors did an amazing job. Overall, it is a heartwarming film that focuses on friendships, feelings, and love.
Interesting movie
Very funny, touching, and has a lot of heart.
50/50 isn’t uproariously funny nor is it crushingly depressing. Levine and Reiser knew that cancer was heavy enough on its own so they took away any embellishment, and found a way to be funny without being flippant and heartwarming without being sappy.
A very good movie. Go see it.
GREAT MOVIE
It was such an amazing movie. I don't think they could have done a better job with such a serious subject matter
AMAZING...Brilliant performances by everyone in the film.
great movie about real life
Really moving movie. Cried at the end. Definitely worth the money to see.
More drama than comedy. It was sad and not as funny as it could have been but it was still a good movie. I don't like Bryce Dallas Howard.
Funny:)
Touching, emotional, endearing, funny, waarm..these are just of the words I would use to describe this fantastic film. I hope Oscar is watching.
LMAO Love it !!!
Amazing movie, so inspiring, even when things are rough and you feel alone, you'll always have friends and family to care for you
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. A friend gave me a movie pass to see it and I went into the theater not knowing too much about it. I thought the story really came together- the actors had great chemistry especially Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. I felt like I was watching two friends interact on screen together- not two actors playing a part in a movie. Angelica Houston was fantastic as well. Needless to say before the end of the movie I was searching for Kleenex... I recently lost someone to brain cancer and both of my parents have had cancer so this movie really hit home for me. I really enjoyed- money well spent.
Such a touching yet funny movie about a serious topic.
A good movie, that shows real friendship between the characters. Easy to relate to.
Great movie---puts laughter into a serious matter
Seth Rogan was less annoying but always vulgar.Great acting for the most part. Not a bad movie.
Excellent movie, shows a maturity level beyond the usual Seth Rogen fart jokes. Maintains a great sense of humour while dealing with cancer, not an easy task.
A much needed movie for this generation.
One of the best films of the year, 50/50 walks an intriguing line balancing comedy and drama. The story of a young man who is diagnosed with cancer could have been a downer, but because it's written by a cancer survivor, both its comedy and drama ring true. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is spot on as Adam, who protests his diagnosis by pointing out how healthily he lives; Seth Rogen gives his usual wiseass character a subtle dramatic undercurrent as Adam's best friend, Kyle, and Anna Kendrick is equally perfect as the inexperienced therapist whose job it is to help Adam cope.
Graet movie, a good mix of laughter and sadness!
Super.....
This movie does not put a funny spin on cancer. I bawled my eyes out for the whole thing. If you know anyone with Cancer or Alzheimers...DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!
fantastic
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is such a talented actor! He reminds me of a younger Johnny Depp. This movie is by far my favourite movie of the year. It has that right combination of drama and humour. Bring a box of tissue with you when you watch this!
It was funny and sweet.
One of the most poignant and hilarious movies I have ever seen. An instant classic. Definitely deserves some Oscar buzz!
This was a really great Movie I'd recommend everyone to go see it. Very funny but at the same time it's sad too but overall the acting and script was good. Fellas it's a great Movie to bring a beautiful Woman to go see my date enjoyed it very much and so did I. Sometimes you gotta switch things up and I'm always up for checking out different types of Movies other then just Action or Horror. Congrats to everybody from the "50/50" cast on their success y'all deserved it.
Excellent movie. It made me laugh & cry! JGL was excellent & Seth Rogen was great as his sarcastic friend trying to use his friend's cancer as an opportunity to meet girls. Go see it!!
moving film
fantastic movie!
I wasn't sure what to expect, because we are all familiar with Seth Rogens' movies. Amazingly, he wasn't that annoying, but brought a needed comic relief to a very real situation. I ended up really liking it overall.
Funny....Very Funny
I thought that the movie was very entertaining and also at the same time very realistic and even though it was to do with life and death the humour made the movie not fall into the cheese story line.
Good movie. Great acting and theme related to all of us.
Vraiment trippant!
I laughed, I cried, and I loved how the characters were real people, not perfect, and still stayed who they are throughout their ordeal.
Good treatment of a painful subject...
I really enjoyed this film. A well balanced combination of laughs and tears. It is difficult to know a young person's life's could be cut short so early. I did tear up during the movie, but ended up feeling pretty good at the outcome.
Great movie, based on real-life and very moving
Great movie! Seth Rogen was his usual sarcastic, but 'best' friend self that everyone loves and wishes they had. JGL...well, hot and a great actor!! Glad to hear the story that inspired this had a happy ending!
Refreshing to see a movie about something as life altering as a cancer diagnosis, show us not only the heart wrenching moments but moments filled with joy and even humour. Very heartwarming!
Sweet and relevant, the lighter side of a serious subject.
