The spy story was neat.

My son loved it -- he is 12 years old and thought it was great!!! He loved the first cars movie and loved this one too.

Sad, they did not spend a little more time into making this a good movie. 2 Stars only.

User review rating: 3 July 12, 2011

Not as good as previous shows

User review rating: 3 July 11, 2011

Mater is the star.

User review rating: 3 July 11, 2011

It was cute and a good movie for kids but I found it rather long and could've been cut shorter.

User review rating: 4 July 11, 2011

I really liked it

User review rating: 4 July 10, 2011

Movie was good for the kids but kind of boring for an adult. 3D feature was not really worth the money as there wasn't much 3D in it.

love the "cars" movies! my 8 year old son and i loved the 1st one and couldn't wait to see the 2nd one :-)

Pixar's first misstep. The only character given any kind of serious screentime is Mater [voiced by Larry the Cable Guy]. There's virtually no screentime for the other characters from Cars - even Lightning McQueen is relegated to a supporting role as the film becomes a flashy, but insubstantial, spoof of Grand Prix racing and fast-paced spy flicks. Mater just isn't a character who should be expected to carry a movie, and Pixar's John Lasseter gets so involved in all the cool action sequences - and trying make Mater's being mistaken for a superspy work - that he's lost sight of what mades Pixar's first eleven movies classics - stories about well developed characters. You can't have one w

Not in the same league as the orginal Cars but still an enjoyable movie for the kids.

Not really a kids movie. Disappointing.

User review rating: 2 July 10, 2011

Didn't live up to the first movie sorry to say...

Cars 2 is nowhere near as good a story as the first movie. The character build is shallow and the story like is elementary. Seems like they created this version for the single purpose of selling more merchandise.

this was great for my grandkids

An enjoyable sequel for fans of the franchise. A fun storyline and great to see all the marketing for the franchise in recent months (contests / merchandise / etc). They've really marketed it well, as expected.

Great movie, a little long though.

User review rating: 2 July 08, 2011

Not the greatest for kids maybe sort of should be intended for an older audience

User review rating: 4 July 08, 2011

Good but for older kids and adults

This is a very disappointing follow up to Cars. Some of it is funny, but mostly it's just gratuitous violence. This should have been rated PG, not G. Our 6 year old was clutching to us in fear as cars were killed. Do not waste your money. Rent it if you must when it comes out. You won't have to wait long; it's that bad.

sorry to report, but for our family, it was a big disapointment, I don't even I will buy it when it does out on DVD, Disney I expected different from you, we have enough of that stuff going on in the really world, why bring it into a child's

Good movie overall, a bit older than I expected, but still a great movie. More of Tow Mater than of McQueen though.

Wow! Seriously pixar? You go from the first movie to this? I was not happy at all with this. Between this and Kung Fu Panda 2 I am left wondering what had happened to kids movies in the states. When did the phrase " Kill him!" become acceptable in movies marketed towards young children? I never thought I would see a character tortured and murdered ( the american spy car) in a kid movie. It's pretty sad when I have to be careful which Disney or Pixar movie I take my kids too. Do not take your kids to this movie if you would not let them watch a violent cation movie, because that is what this is.

Not ment for Chidren under 7. Full of violance. My 4 year old got scared... we had to leave the theater. only got halfway. Cartoon movie ment for adults... they targetted the wrong audience
