Synopsis

Cuban superstar ballet dancer Carlos Acosta mesmerizes audiences with his triumphant performance in the Bolshoi's production of Aram Ilyich Khachaturian's thrilling ballet. The Thracian freedom-fighter Spartacus is considered by many to be the most physically demanding role in the classical repertoire and only for powerful dancers at the peak of their prowess dare attempt Yuri Grigorovic's choreography. With the awe-inspiring Acosta in the title role, Bolshoi director Alexei Ratmansky has reawakened the sheer theatrical power of Spartacus for a new generation.
