Synopsis

Thomas, an aspiring musician, meets the parents of his girlfriend Lola for the first time: Suzanne, an eccentric vegetarian involved in an aid project in Burkina Faso, and Gilbert, who’s been depressed since he sold his business. Convinced that getting married ruined his life, he strongly suggests that Thomas doesn’t make the same mistake. Having found a job at a collection agency, Thomas hesitates when Lola presses him to move to a bigger apartment. Meanwhile, Gilbert leaves Suzanne to live his teenage dreams. Disappointed by Thomas, Lola begins a relationship with a serious young man, while Suzanne starts dating a widowed neighbor, which horrifies Gilbert.
