2008 MTV Movie Awards nominations released

The nominations for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards have been released and it seems the fan favorites are—no surprises here—Juno, Superbad and Knocked Up. Canadian actor Michael Cera, 19, is up for three nominations; Best Male Performance, Best Kiss, and Best Breakthrough Performance. Halifax sweetheart, Ellen Page, 21, is up for two nominations: Best Female Performance and Best Kiss. Movies up for Best Picture include I Am Legend, Juno, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Superbad and Transformers. MTV has unveiled a new category this year called Best Summer Movie So Far, for movies that are still hot in theaters.
