Britney Spears walks offstage mid-concert

Fifteen minutes into her performance at Vancouver’s GM Place Wednesday night, Britney Spears walked off the stage without explanation. Playing a show for her sold-out Circus Tour, she left the audience in the dark for more than half an hour. During her absence, in effort to settle down the booing crowd, GM Place was filled with pre-recorded music, which did not fare well. A concertgoer told People.com that it killed the experience and fans were “really pissed off. The break in the concert ruined it for everyone. The vibe was gone.” The crowd was blamed for Spears’ absence, with a GM Place employee saying cigarette smoke could be the cause. The employee announced, “The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared.” A representative for Spears posted a statement on her website apologizing for the delay, saying it occurred because crew members became ill due to a ventilation issue. When the air was deemed clean again, Spears returned to the stage and sang “Everytime” and a Bollywood take on “Me Against the Music.” She ended her show by yelling, “Drive safe, don’t smoke weed and rock out with your [expletive]s out! Did she think that potty mouth would make her look cool to all the fans she just ripped off? Fine example for your little boys, Brittney. Maybe when they hook off school or get caught shoplifting they’ll drop a few f-bombs and you’ll give them a high five.

well, she can make all the money she wants because her kids stand a huge chance to be as messed up as her. She’s messed up, immature, and just plain crazy. If that’s rich, then I guess I’m lucky I’m a poor girl. It’s pretty bad when K-Fed is considered the more capable parent.

I THINK WHAT BRITNEY SPEARS DID DURNING HER SHOW IN VANCOUVER BC AT GM PLACE WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I MEAN EVERYONE THERE THAT ATTENDED THE CONCERT WHERE TOLD NOT TO SMOKE.
Yes, but Britney herself had a microphone in hand or attached to her head….she could have told HER “paying” audience why she was walking off stage!!

EXACTLY NANCY…People paid to see her. Ok, we know you aren’t supposed to smoke at concerts, but come on now….I’m sure Puff Daddy knows there will be smoke when he goes, and I’m sure Brittany has inhaled a puff or two in her time…She should’ve given them the respect and opportunity to “butt out”. When Madonna was late last year on one of her concerts, she caused people to miss out on transit home, because her concert ended later than transit ran. These are HER fans and they paid to see HER. It’s a night out, right or wrong, people will be drinking & smoking.
Not to mention it is their JOB. If anyone else just walked off the job, or showed up really late, I’m sure there’d be more than just booing to deal with!

My sister was at that concert. Those tickets cost her a shit load of money, and to get what? An over the top, lip synching drama queen who cant deal with more smoke then she is used to.

She does have talent – her first is how to be a professional flake. Certainly she can sing and dance, and she could be so good, but really, she has made an embarrassment of herself and should be ashamed. A lot of people had faith in her and still do, she needs to get her act together and be what she used to be; talent worth listening to.
