Chris Weitz asked to direct 4th Twilight movie

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in New MoonSummit Entertainment is so pleased with the cast and fan reaction to The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘s director, Chris Weitz, that they’re planning to offer him the opportunity to direct the fourth film, Breaking Dawn. According to Variety, the last movie may actually be broken into two, like the final Harry Potter film, because the book is so long, making the total of Twilight films five instead of four, as with the books. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has already completed filming, and Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have signed to do only one more, so they would need to sign for a fifth. So far, The Twilight Saga: New Moon has grossed $481 million worldwide.  The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, directed by David Slade, opens in theaters June 30, 2010. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Can’t wait to see how they accomplish breaking dawn, it should be interesting!

I am a little disappointed quite frankly. I believe the first director Catherine Hardwick had a better feel for the characters.

PISS ME OFF!!! Why does there have to be two parts for Breaking Dawn? I mean really, I waited forever for New Moon and Twilight to come out in theaters!!!!!!! And now I’m waiting for Eclipse and it seems to be taking forever. But yeah New Moon was done AMAZINGLY and I think that even though it could have been done better it was still was a job well done…so it’s a good idea for Chris Weitz to direct the fourth movie. And if there’s going to be two movies made for the fourth book heads are gonna role. Jkjk, butI hope there are are only four mocies because I don’t want to wait that long. Half way through this paragraph I relized 1 more movie would be prett cool

Would you rather them split the movie in two, so they can include more stuff. A 3 and a half hour movie so they can fit everything in, or a 2 hour movie cutting out much of what was in the book. I’ll go with the wait and two movies thank you very much!

That totally licks. I thought CW did a horrible job on New Moon. I really hope they get someone else. I understand that it is not easy to translate a book into a movie, but come on. It was way to choppy, there was no flow to the movie, and it moved way toooo slow in some parts but too fast in others. this is disappointing news. As far as I am concerned, CW and MR ruined New Moon. I have great expectations for David. Splitting BD into 2 movies would maybe be better as it would be able to move at a better pace and less will be cut out.

i liked the movie i thought it could of been better though to me i felt that the movie was moving way to fast everthing just kind of came at up at once but i guess it was two hours long they couldnt of made it any longer so i say that they did a pretty good job
