Daniel Baldwin’s wife threatened to kill him

Daniel Baldwin, Cold Case star and younger brother of Alec Baldwin, says in a shocking declaration that his wife threatened to stab him to death numerous times. In the declaration obtained by TMZ, he says the last straw that forced him to file for divorce this week was when Joanne punched him in the face and head after drinking too much. Police were called and deemed her unfit to care for their two daughters, telling Daniel to get them out of the house. Most chilling of all, after watching a documentary about women who kill their husbands, she walked into the room where Daniel was and stated: “Now I know how to do it. I understand why they did it. You have been warned. Move out of this house or I am going to kill you.” He says his three-year-old daughter then asked him, “Is Mommy going to kill us?” He writes in the declaration that Joanne always does this in front of the children, explaining: “My wife has claimed over 10 times in the last 2 months that she will stab me, slash me or slit my throat in my sleep. I am truly fearful for my life also because she drinks so much and tends to black out on alcohol,” adding, “My wife received her second DUI in June 2010. She broke her probation hundreds of times by consuming alcohol. When she drinks, she is violent and dangerous.” Daniel successfully obtained a restraining order earlier this week and has temporary custody of the children.

A little confusing, but we have a picture, so at least we know who is who.
I just keep thinking that he looks like a bit of a slime…and note the bruises on her arm in the picture…but still no reason to threaten death…however desperate wives say desperate things!
at least one of those could be a birthmark not a bruise…but who knows
@angie Are you drunk? On drugs perhaps? She’s in the news for hitting her husband closed fist after drinking like a freakin’ fish. Not to mention violating her parole by drinking (BTW her parole was due to a DUI…note the theme). Even if she was abused (which I highly doubt) who speaks like that in front of their kids? For once this might not be the mans fault.
As for those bruises. I’d blame stumbling from alcohol. If she’s drinking enough to black-out she’s likely not walking a straight line anywhere. Door frames become wall bumpers, coffee tables become tripping hazards…you can see where this is going.
Im totally with you Angie, he does look like a slime and would maybe drive anyone to drink. She looks like a hard-livin’ woman, has maybe been put through a lot, you can see she hasn’t much self esteem. She does nothing to pretty herself up, even for a photoshoot, and the dark circles and bags under her eyes speak to me as well, not to mention the unkempt hair and forced smile.
Where my sympathy stops for her is that she performs these rantings in front of the children. How frightening for them it must be.
Angie, do you report every women that have bruises on theirs arms to the cops as abuse. How can you make a comment like that by looking at a picture? He was in rehab too and it looks like he might make it but at this point, she’s just an enabler that should be out of his life until she gets cleaned, not to mention the children’s life.
All of you who are blaming the wife need to take a second look. You don’t know what happened to want him out of the house do you? Affairs happen all the time, or just the real “character” comes out of an actor not what we see on screen. I say she is better off without him and this is not so black and white.The kids should be with whoever can care for them without being addicted to alchol or drugs and can support them and love them. This is going to turn into a messy custody battle. There is soMething odd about those Baldwin boys.

holy smokes. DO NOT close your eyes at night Daniel. Read that story of the woman who drugged and tied up her husband and chopped off his penis and put it in the garbage disposal! Harsh. To top it off they were already going thru divorce proceedings.

what amazes me is it seems you cannot break up with people. Vidictive women ar bananas. Anyone hear about that woman in Tacoma WA, who met a guy on Facebook and is suing him for $8000 emotional damage because the relationship did not go as she hoped!! Like really. She cited that he would say, “Talking to you after Mafia Wars is the best part of my day.”
Wow what a nice sweet nothing to say to a girl to make her heart melt and fall in love and worth suing for.
Nothing you can do people if someone doesn’t want you anymore, move on. Why cause damage, it’s not like they will want you back.
I think they both have a problem, especially her, any mother that would put her children in harms way has a problem, any woman that would prefer to drink to that excess instead of taking proper care of her children has serious issues. She thinks drinking is more important. She sounds dysfunctional She should get help, asap, obviously booze does not agree with her GIVE UP THE DRINKING, SHE IS THE TYPE THAT CANNOT HANDLE LIQUOR.
I would argue that none of us know the true facts of this case and as such shouldn’t go spouting off in defense of either of these folks as doing so is purely based on personal bias rather than fact.
I totally agree with Mark, kind of hard and rather futile to pick sides with either of them without all the facts which none of us will never know seeing as we are not them. And @ Robin they changed it to Cold Case star AFTER I posted it was William on Gossip Girl! I’m a writer Tribute magazine and up on current events, if you need a new writer who can get their facts straight….you have my email! LOL! No….seriously!
All to often police and courts do not take things like this seriously enough and someone or all parties end up dead. I hope they keep this woman away from her children and Daniel because I see and hear some real murder potential here. Just think about the Canadian from Talk radio and Saturday night live, his wife had no problem shooting him then shooting herself. This stuff happens and we need the courts, police and shrinks to take these things seriously before there are deaths not after!

Obviously your wife has alcohol addiction. She needs to get the alcohol out of the house. You and the children are in great danger. You were wise to take the children out of the house. She would do it.
These are symptoms of ADHD: laughing inappropriately,talking incessantly- usually women, a leg that suddenly bounces up and down for a few minutes, illicit sex, swearing, trouble concentrating, depression, low self esteem, asking if you love them constantly. There are probably other symptoms and you might not have all of them.
In school, if they are tested usually their marks are high except for 1 low subject usually in math or english, which they would need remedial help. The school usually blames the parents for having a troublesome child when they know that ADAD is the problem. It is usually hereditary or can be caused by an accident.
Food choices are extemely important. Stay away from macaroni and cheese (PACKAGED), jello, things that have colouring and preservatives. Fresh vegetables and food are best to keep away from preservatives.
It sounds like your wife is suffering from ADHD with conduct disorder. She needs to see a psychometrist or a psychiatrist before she ends up in jail. YOu need to get to the root of her problem.
Are you contributing to the problem or helping?
Does she eat her meals on time? Does she get easily distracted? Does she eat a lot of dairy products? or oranges, chocolate, pop. Food that would be good for her would be blueberries, ginseng, garlic, ginkgo biloba, spinach. They help with memory. Does her mind flit from one thing to another and have trouble concentrating?
It is important that she gets this help immediately before she harms herself. There are unresolved problems.

All the Baldwins are mentally sick and very unstable. Alec Baldwin may go to prison for killing that woman on the set yesterday. That leaves his wife with 6 kids. She will have to go back and teach yoga. Poor thing.
