Details on new J.K. Rowling book revealed

Back in February, author J.K. Rowling revealed that she was working on a new book that would have nothing to do with her famous Harry Potter series, but that’s about all the information we were given. But new details have finally emerged. The book will be called The Casual Vacancy and will be set in a small English town. Here’s the official synopsis courtsey of Rowling’s new publisher–Little, Brown and Company: “When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.” The book will be released September 27.

Sounds like a bore. Will skip, unless it turns out the town is full of magic and has a protagonist named Harry Potter.
