Get Smart tops North American box office

The new comedy spy adventure, Get Smart, dominated the box office this weekend, earning $39.2 million (all figures US) to beat out The Love Guru, the other highly-touted new comedy that opened on Friday. Starring Mike Myers, The Love Guru debuted in fourth, earning a paltry $14 million. Kung Fu Panda hung on to second place with an additional $21.7 million, while The Incredible Hulk slipped from the top spot to third, grossing $21.6 million, making $96.5 million in total, just shy of the coveted $100 million mark. M. Night Shymalan’s The Happening slipped two spots to round out the top five, taking in $10 million.
i thought the love guru would be first o well get smart was also a great movie.
The Love Guru looks absolutely stupid as hell. What do these studios expect with current gas prices and ticket prices? Nobody wants to pay big money to see crappy movies, and that movie looked real bad.
Ya I love Mike Myers but alot of his roles are just not that funny any more..but Steve Carrell no he make me laugh so hard my abs hurt the next day…I was going to see it but the theatre I went to wasn’t playing it for some reason…so I saw Hulk instead which was pretty awesome…Kung Fu Panda deserves to still be in the top five that was one of the best animated movies I’ve seen in a while…and I heard from a lot of people not to waste my money on the Happening that it was horrible….
Forget this pale imitation! If you want to see GET SMART, watch THE NUDE BOMB!!!

“The Nude Bomb” is an inspired comedy people should check out on dvd; it’s the REAL “Get Smart.”
