Hunger Games director takes blame for Jennifer Lawrence’s hair

The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence chopped off her locks last week, opting for a shorter, pixie cut. Jennifer said the reason for the change was that her hair was “at an awkward length” after cutting it into a shoulder-length bob. She also stated that her hair was fried from all the dying and she just wanted to start over. Now the director of The Hunger Games, Francis Lawrence, is taking the blame for Jennifer’s new do. “She used to give me a hard time about the hair because I was always saying, ‘Dye your hair, dye your hair. We need your hair dyed, no wigs!'” He told told E! News. “And then of course, dying her hair fried her hair, so she had to cut her hair.” Although he said no wigs, Katniss will not be leaving her brunette braid behind in the third installment of The Hunger Games as Jennifer will be wearing a wig. The second installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, opens in theaters November 22. ~ Brie Davis

I hope the wig in Mockingjay isn’t as bad as the one Kristen Stewart wore in Twilight Eclipse.
