Casey Abrams saved by American Idol judges

In one of the most emotional moments of all ten seasons of American Idol, judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson used their save card to keep Casey Abrams in the competition. As is the custom, when it was announced that Casey had gotten the least amount of votes and was in danger not only of being off the show, but out of the summer tour, he was asked to sing one last time to convince the judges to keep him in the competition.

The judges can step in and save one singer only per season. While Casey was singing, host Ryan Seacrest ran up and stopped him mid-song. Casey looked shocked, then when he was told the judges were saving him, his hands flew to his mouth and he collapsed to his knees in disbelief. Casey has been one of the favorites so far this year with his unique style and strong voice and the judges knew immediately what their decision was when they realized what was happening. When Randy told him, “We know who you are Casey, we don’t need to hear you sing anymore,” Casey said afterwards he thought that meant they’d already decided not to keep him. Jackson continued, saying it was “crazy” that Casey was in danger of leaving the show. Tyler added, “We’ve made a decision together here. We’re going to keep you.” Lopez also voiced her disbelief at Casey having been in the bottom three. Next week, the two singers with the lowest votes will be going home, but Ryan announced that all 11 will be going on the summer tour. What do you think? Should Casey have been saved from going home? Who was your favorite? Who do you think should go home?

Yes,Yes, Yes ! They did the right thing! This man is very refreshing & so talented in so many ways. He is unique and VERY GOOD. I would buy his recorders in a heartbeat. Maybe it’s about time we get back to some REAL MUSIC & REAL TALENT.

Are you drunk?!? I will grant you the statements that he is unique but that is about where it ends. I think the judges made the absolute wrong decision last night. Lets look at the options which are left. If Country boy (McCreery), rocker dude (Durbin), gospel king (Lusk), or Pia (don’t know her last name) end up in the bottom next week for a one time poor performance there is no way that the judges can save them. This show is all about finding that next American star, or as they call it on the show idol. Casey is not that person. He is certainly different and has his own style which is great but cannot hold a candle to the 4 people mentioned above vocally. After all it is important to note that these men and women are competing using their voice and his vocals just don’t match the other 4.

I was almost in tears, I was so happy for him. The best thing is that all 11 get to go on tour now, I was thinking Oh no, don’t tell me that blonde girl who was in the bottom three two weeks in a row, who made it through is now in danger of not going on the tour after all. I don’t think Pia or Scotty McCreery are in danger of getting voted off anytime soon. One of the two of them is going to win it. Thia McGia should have been voted off last night. Every week she does the same lackluster performance. Good voice, no personality, no soul or emotion when she sings. I’d rather have less voice but more soul. I’m glad Jennifer finally told her to act out the lyrics but I don’t think it’ll sink in.

what the american people that voted for the idols smoking crack and drinking cheap wine???How could the possibly have wanted Casey to go home??? Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!! The man has earned his way onto that stageand I cannot believe that he would be in the bottom 3 let alone being sent home ..I am in full agreement with jennifer randy and steven tyler Believ e me if those three are sying he has what it takes then by all that is holy i think the american public should really listen to what they are saying steven tyler did not stay in the aerosmith group by not knowing what he is talking about nor had jennifer stayed in th public eye with her singing career and a veru lucative one at that while i have no idea whether randy sings or not is not th e question but the man knows talent when he hears it I dont agree that any of the idols at this point hsould have toleave but unfortunaetly someone has tot hey cant all be the 1 idol there is ony room at the top for 1 of them GOOD JOB IDOLS YOU ARE MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO CHOOSE AND THANK YOU IDOLS FOR THE BEST SEASON I HAVE EVER SEEEN I HAVE WATCHED THIS SHOW SINCE DAY 1 KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MAKE US ALL CANADIAN AND U.S CITIZENS PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!
