New Michael Jackson song written in 1983

The newly Michael Jackson single This is It was originally written by Jackson and Paul Anka in 1983 and recorded by Jackson in the early 1990s. Originally called I Never Heard, the song didn’t give credit to Anka when it was released Monday. However, Anka told the Associated Press that Jackson’s estate moved quickly to acknowledge his involvement after he pointed out the oversight, and promised him 50 per cent of the song’s profits. “They did the right thing,” he said. “I don’t think that anybody tried to do the wrong thing — it was an honest mistake.” Originally recorded in Anka’s recording studio, the new release has been remastered to include background vocals by Jackson’s brothers. It’s just one of a number of unreleased recordings that Jackson kept aside for release after his death.
