Skyfall sets new Bond record

The 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, has officially grossed over $1 billion worldwide since it was released in November, making it the first film in the 007 franchise to make that much according to numbers compiled by Box Office Mojo. The Sam Mendes film, which stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris, has raked in $289 million in domestic ticket sales and a whopping $710 million internationally. Skyfall was also the third-highest grossing film of 2012 behind the superhero flicks The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
