An air ambulance was called Tuesday morning to the set of the new Brad Pitt movie Fury (pictured at left) in Oxford, England, when a stuntman was accidentally stabbed in the shoulder with a bayonet. The 35-year-old man was taking part in a rehearsed action scene when something went wrong and he was stabbed. The man was quickly airlifted to a local hospital. Police are not treating the incident as a crime and the Health and Safety Executive is now taking over the investigation. Sony Pictures spokeswoman Claudia Kalindjian told the Oxford Mail: “There has been an accident between two professional stuntmen which happened in a rehearsed action sequence. It was an accident. It is obviously very unfortunate.” However, she noted: “He left the set laughing and talking.”

Opening in theaters this weekend is the action-thriller Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt, Jo Koy’s comedic Easter Sunday, and I Love My Dad with Patton Oswalt.
Why are they using real bayonets? Don’t they have props that aren’t lethal?
Oh man, that’s the Pitts!
The title implies that a crime was committed. Sensationalism at its worst…
Celebrities shouldn’t be paid millions when their stunt double is actually doing most of the hard work.
Praying for a speedy recovery…accidents do happen.
The show must go on!
