Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob in the Twilight Saga movies, has signed on to play a teen who realizes something strange is going on when he spots his baby photo on a missing persons website in the new thriller Abduction. Alfred Molina, who’ll be co-starring with Lautner, told eonline that his daughter, who’s a Twilight fan, is  thrilled about the news. In fact, he’s been getting many requests to visit the set from family and friends, explaining, “All the [women] who know about it have expressed a certain interest.” Also starring in the movie will be Maria Bello, Jason Isaacs and Sigourney Weaver. The film will be directed by John Singleton and released in 2011.

The Face on the Milk Carton. It’s a book by Caroline B. Cooney published in the 90’s. It was also made into a movie.

It’s been done, so it’s no surprise that Hollywood is redoing it.

I’m with you @themaskedcritic that’s exactly what I thought when I read the article! Now since he’s in it the whole world cares all of the sudden! I also remember there being a sequel called Whatever happened to Jenny.. Or something like that.

Argg why am I not surprised that they got Lautner. I don’t like how an actor does a couple of movies that do very well and then they are in hot demand. Its not about talent anymore….

@jackiem, very true. It hasn’t been about talent in a while.

Sean Connery retired from acting when 50 Cent got his own movie, because 50 Cent had a role handed to him and didn’t have to work for it.

This guy has worked very hard to get where he is. They almost dropped him from Twilight because he was too small so he immediately started working out to bulk up and managed to win the casting people over. He’s done quite a few movies since he was a kid and has sacrificed a lot. I wouldn’t compare him to 50 cent, this is a totally different situation.
