James Caan walks off set because of a cookie

Director David O. Russell is no stranger to fighting with actors, but a recent disagreement with James Caan caused the veteran to walk off the set of Russell’s latest film Nailed. Apparently the fight was over how Caan’s character would choke on a cookie. Russell believed Caan should cough while choking on the baked good, while the actor argued he couldn’t do both at the same time. Russell then suggested they shoot the scene both ways, but Caan made it clear that he didn’t trust the director and walked off the set. This is not the first time Russell, 49, has clashed with an actor during filming of one of his movies. Videos of Russell and actress Lily Tomlin surfaced on the Internet last year showing the two in an intensely heated and profanity laced argument on the set of I Heart Huckabees.

   They should consult with the Cookie Monster on how to shoot the scene.

   The director should consult a dr. or anyone else with a brain Caan is right you can’t choke and cough at the same time!!

   When you are choking isn’t your air passage blocked?? If your air passage is blocked can you cough?? I have a great idea!! Mr.Caan should choke Mr. Russell and tell him to cough! Ram that freakin’ cookie right down the b@stards throat!! 🙂

   Maybe he should have consulted Bush on the choking scene, seeing how the prez choked on a pretzel a while back.

   Then again, he’d have to list Bush in the final credits as a consultant on the film.

    You can cough while choking if your airway is not completely blocked. If it is completely blocked, you cannot cough, yell for help, gasp, or anything that requires air flow.
