Kate Winslet slams pregnancy critics who call her irresponsible

By Tribute News on January 3, 2014 | 7 Comments

Kate Winslet Kate Winslet has blasted her pregnancy critics. The Labor Day actress - who welcomed baby Bear with her husband Ned Rocknroll in December - was outraged to discover the public deemed her ''irresponsible'' for having three children by three different husbands, and doesn't believe anyone has the right to judge her for her lifestyle choices. She told British Glamour magazine: ''No one has a right to comment on anyone's life or the choices I do or don't make. It's very easy to be judgmental until you know someone's truth. People have no idea at all. It baffles me, truly, that you can publicly treat a person like that. It's not very nice. I'm really sorry to the nation's press that I fell in love and got pregnant; I do apologize if you deem that irresponsible.'' The 38-year-old star - who has a 13-year-old daughter, Mia, with her ex-husband Jim Threapleton and a 10-year-old son, Joe, with her second ex-spouse Sam Mendes - also scoffed at the idea of giving her newborn son businessman Ned's surname. Kate said: ''We haven't ever really had that conversation; it was always going to have my name. Of course we're not going to call it Rocknroll. People might judge all they like, but I'm a f***ing grown-up.'' She added that her other children ''have it as part of their name, so it would be weird if this baby didn't."

I’m so sick of the critics. She had babies with her HUSBANDS. She didn’t pick three random guys off the street to have babies with and then never saw those men again. She started families while in COMMITTED relationships. Just because she got divorced, it doesn’t suddenly make her irresponsible. She has handled the divorces in a mature way. Her exes are still in her life as well as her kids’ lives. Good on her for standing up for herself because some people are unbelievably cruel about her love life. It’s none of our business anyway.

I don’t it is any ones business except her and her husband business. People should stop sticking there nose in where it doesn’t belong. Not like she has pick husband randomely off the street and had children. My god there are some celebrities who have married like 10 times and nobody says boo. Go on with your like and let her enjoy hers

Really, it is her business. I agree with both both Beverley and Emma. She is a grown up and it is no ones business

Please let Kate know that it is certainly not everybody that feels this way about her….I admire that she continues to conduct her relationships with integrity, commitment and marriage before bringing children into the world and that her babies are not merely an accident of a few one night stands or drunken evenings….Good for her – she’s right, ain’t nobody got time for dat! None of our business….

I agree with Emma and Beverely. It is nobody else business about her love life. Marriage changes things when you have children involved. Kate Winslet is a good actress and she doesn’t need haters telling her of why she has 3 kids with three different husbands. In society it gets harder for a woman to date a guy who she likes and when they do they get married and a have a kid. Then there can be a disgreement of spending time with your spouse or work gets in the way. Kate Winslet is happy with her new husband and her new baby. But i don’t like the name she chose for her son.
