Lost star gets custody of illegitimate son

By Alexandra Heilbron on January 8, 2009 | 14 Comments

Naveen AndrewsNaveen Andrews, who plays Sayid on ABC’s hit series Lost, has been granted sole custody of the son he shares with actress Elena Eustache.  The British actor claims Eustache took his three-year-old son Naveen Joshua out of Los Angeles County without permission and had denied him access. A judge granted Andrews, 39, sole custody until a full hearing can be held, which is scheduled for next month. Andrews and/or his longtime girlfriend, Barbara Hershey, 60, will now be able to take the toddler with them to Hawaii where Lost is filmed. Andrews and Hershey have been dating since 1998, but split briefly in 2005, during which time he had an affair that produced his son. Eustache told TMZ after the hearing she was upset with the verdict, saying: “I can’t believe celebrities and their money. They always get what they want.” Andrews also has a 16-year-old son back in England with another former girlfriend, Geraldine Feakins, who was his high school math teacher.

Well, if his “claim” is true, then his money and stardom had nothing to do with it! He sure does have a thing for older women though…60 year old Barbara Hershey and a former girlfriend who was his high school math teacher.

well, will wonders never cease??? I love Lost as well and am anxiously awaiting the next season. Sayid is one of my favourite characters, I was sorry to see Charlie go, Hurley and Sawyer really good too.

Interesting he gets sole custody (for now)…
also interesting to see a younger man with a (quite) older woman, tables turned here.

    Just like Demi and Ashton!

I read somewhere how when Demi Moore was doing striptease, Ashton was still in 8th grade. :S
But you know, they’re both good looking people and I don’t really see the age difference. As for Naveen and his lady, i think 20 some years is big. But if they’re good, they’re good. Can’t wait for Lost!

So it’s okay for him to take the baby out of LA county without access to the mother, a bit ironic, no?

Woah…his high school math teacher?! Somehow you missed that people…pfft.

Anonymous, he went to court (unlike her) and was granted full custody by a judge…so he can take the child out of the country. He just needs to make sure to show up for the next court date otherwise she could possibly be granted full custody then and he would be charged.

nemoway, don’t sound so shocked. I married my high school English teacher. It is not such a stretch. Still happily married 36 years and six kids later.

Good for you, Chocklit, that’s wonderful!

  11. Sexy Older Woman • January 11, 2009 @ 12:05 AM

Sheesh! So friggin’ what how much older she is. Does anybody ever say anything about Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones? He is 25 years older than her!! How about that silly Hugh Hefner and the three fake-boobed blondes. Wake-up People! You are brainwashed! This is complete male fantasy that’s been fed to us by male script-writers, producers, and directors, that men only date women young enough to be their daughters and grand-daughters, and not the other way around!

Sexy Older Woman..stop pretending there’s any kind of double standard, and making the mistake of equating the sexes.
Yea, older men are attracted to younger women because of tv’s influence..c’mon.

  14. tributegirl • January 13, 2009 @ 2:28 PM

But why are these younger women “attracted” to these older men? Money maybe?
And yes, I had mentioned Demi and Ashton, as there was a comment that said “also interesting to see a younger man with a (quite) older woman, tables turned here.”. My point was it isn’t exactly unheard of.
