jennifers bodyMegan Fox‘s first solo movie outing, Jennifer’s Body, bombed at the weekend box office, debuting in fifth place with only $6.8 million. The top earning film was the animated family release, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Tribute viewer rating: 4.25 out of 5), which grossed $30.1 million. Matt Damon‘s null (Tribute viewer rating: 3) came in second with $10.5 million. Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself (Tribute viewer rating: 3.77) earned $10 million in its second weekend out for a total take of $38 million.  Jennifer Aniston’s latest romantic comedy, Love Happens, (Tribute viewer rating: 3.45) was also a disappointment, grossing a paltry $8.45 million. Both Jennifer’s Body (Tribute viewer rating: 3.48) and Love Happens grossed less in their debut weekend than the Tyler Perry movie in its second weekend, which even experienced a 57 percent drop in ticket sales.

    HAHA!
Now that her movie bombed maybe now Megan Fox will disappear back into obscurity she came from.

DUH. she should stick with Micheal Bay movies, at least that way she doesn’t have to act. This girl has about as much talent as a jar of peanut butter.

LMAO! Peanut butter?! Ahaha, that’s awesome

That sucks.I saw the movie and it was great and This is the first movie she’s been in were she shows that she’s a good actress

Sorry Jo. I can’t take a review seriously by someone that confuses the word “were” with “where”. Seriously. Megan Fox should just go back to doing whatever it was she was doing before she turned up in Transformers. Which was also god awful.

Sorry Pete I should have realized that opinions are only for people with perfect grammar

hahaha funny come back jo! i havent saw this movie yet, but i am considering checking it out now just to see if i personally think she is a good actress. i will probably wait for dvd so by then im sure we will have forgotten this conversation. it just goes to show that dressing trampy and being hot isnt going to get you far in the movie industry if you dont have some talent to back it up. (and, perhaps, some manners?)

i didnt need to read this to know this movie was stupid. but im glad the world hasn’t gotten to retarded and realized it too.

don’t worry Jo, never mind what Pete says and just keep on posting your opinions. besides, Pete is probably just some a-hole or fat guy who lives with his parents or with friends that are like or similar to him and he’s miserable and makes himself feel better by shooting down other people posts and pointing out every little single spelling error, grammar mistakes etc etc..

I’m tired of all these young starlets like Megan Fox and Jessica Alba who try to get by on sex appeal alone and have absolutely no acting abilities whatsoever. I agree with Mandee. Looks can only get you so far in the entertainment industry. People aren’t going to buy it anymore and sooner or later you’re going to have to show some acting ability if you’re going to succeed in this business.

Hey John, thats quite the run-on sentence you have there 😉

  12. mandee • September 22, 2009 @ 7:55 AM

tom, i agree with you as well. thats why ellen page and kat dennings (as young actresses) are my fave. they do their job without using sex appeal to get an audience. they are amazing actresses and so far i have loved everything ive saw either one of them in. if more young actresses were as talented or versatile as ellen page is, we would have a lot more great movies making the amount of money they expect these crappy ones to make.

Honestly, who cares “where” (lol) you live, whether your fat or stupid or if you live in a basement…. Bottom line is Megan Fox is a poor actress that was given a lucky break in Transformers and blew it with her ignorant attitude. Now she has the lucky oppertunity to do “B” movie s*** films that show off her true talent!

At first i was in that demograhic of people thinking Megan Fox was great looking and could possibly turn to be a good actress. After reading about her ranting on Micheal Bay, s**** attitude towards fans/fellow actors and co-workers and last but not least her selfishness!! i just cant sit to watch a movie with her in it anymore for all these reasons. These actors, actresses need to respect the amazing oppertunities given to them and not take for granted what has been given to them. Fox should start to realize there is a world outside her own and she can never be Angelina Jolie.
    Ellen Page rocks!!

Mandee, Tom, Thibz…I agree. And then recently too, she went and did an interview claiming she’s mental or whatever, like wtf?

would have saw it, didn’t come to my theater

  17. anon • September 23, 2009 @ 11:31 AM

I was never a fan of Horror flicks and add to the fact I think that Megan’s acting is very overrated.

ya know, if only i had someone to bet against me on this movie, i had $100 bucks saying that this movie was going to flop, but had no takers…. its relying too much on Megan Fox’s “sex appeal”, i mean, the girl dresses like shes standing on a corner, and wears more make up than a trans-gender male… she puts on hoe girl gear and waits for movie roles to come to her, if she ever went to an audition and had to get a role on her acting skills, it would be her faking an orgasam that would win her a role, no skills required for that, just good lube

  19. Jo-Anne • September 29, 2009 @ 10:50 AM

wow wow wow TheseWords…what happened to YOUR own Words let God be the judge????

who let u loose from the heavens above…or was it below…..

  20. Jo-Anne • September 29, 2009 @ 10:51 AM

re article…not my type of movie but I highly doubt Fox is going to suffer from any of this…
