Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus have matched a record set by the late Johnny and Rosanne Cash, as a father and daughter appearing on the Billboard country song chart at the same time, but with different songs. The Cashes had separate singles on the country charts on Oct. 5, 1990. Rosanne charted her single, “What We Really Want,” while her father, Johnny, charted with “Goin’ By the Book.” Miley’s new song “The Climb” entered Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart this week at No. 48, while her dad, Billy Ray, entered at No. 59 with his “Back to Tennessee” single. Both songs are featured on the soundtrack for their latest movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie, which opens April 10.
No way! There’s no comparison!
Good for them!
i agree, good for them…i have never heard rosanna or johnny cash.
mandee you have never heard Johnny Cash?? Are you kidding me? I thought everyone has heard at least one song by Johnny Cash. Whether they liked it or hated it, that is their opinion, but I was under the impression that everyone has heard it. I almost want to make you listen to Ring of Fire online or something. I am shocked…..
Are you serious?
mandee, I’m sure you must have heard Johnny Cash, maybe on the radio but you didn’t know who it was? I would have thought everyone would have heard his music.
