Miley Cyrus demands raise

By Alexandra Heilbron on December 30, 2008 | 10 Comments

Miley CyrusJust like any other typical teenager, Miley Cyrus is begging her parents for a raise in her allowance. The 16-year-old pop star/tv star/movie star has been getting about $100 a week from her parents to spend on incidentals like magazines and coffee, reports Star magazine. But the Hannah Montana star has been more frivolous as of late and is shelling out more cash now that she’s dating 20-year-old model Justin Gaston. Apparently she’s asking for her allowance to be upped to $1,000 per week. Considering she made upwards of $25 million last year, should Miley be able to get her hands on more money? You tell us.

Her “allowance” obviously comes from her pocket, and she probably buys designer outfits, has to have the latest cell phone, ipod, etc. Probably her friends who are in the business also have a lot of pocket money, so her parents (or accountant, whoever’s in charge) should try letting her have maybe $500 per week and see if she doesn’t blow it on stupid things. But it’s her money, she has a lot of it and she can blow a lot of it without ever feeling the pinch.

I think miley should not get $1,000 because she already is hannah montana,if i was her i would enjoy being hannah and just raise upto $300

Sure, she deserves a raise just like anyone else, but not $1000/week! From $100 up to $1000…just like that? Robbie Ray won’t be impressed!!

i dont think $1000 is gonna go so well ya she deserves more its her money but the amount shes asking for is too much i think that her parents are doing the right thing they are doing their best to keep her grounded and not end up like other teeny boppers these days i wish them the best of luck

poor little rich girl – how will she ever afford her diamond shoes and crystal tiara with just $100/week? i feel sorry for her – no one should have to live in that kind of poverty!

LMFAO. i actually WORK for my money, and i only get 300 EVERY OTHER WEEK !!!! lol thats so bad. its so unfair. like sure shes a good actress for children, but like come on, ive been working for the last 7 years in stupid jobs where i actually bust my a*s*s and i dont get more than 150 a week! they should only allow her what she would make a week if she was actually working like a normal person, and not let her have the other money until shes much older. if i had of been rich, i would have wanted my parents to wait until i had a family before they let me have it ALL lol.
