New Pirates of the Caribbean to film in Hawaii

The fourth Pirates of the Caribbean, starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, will film this summer in Hawaii, on the islands of Oahu and Kauai. Titled Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the movie will be directed by Rob Marshall and is scheduled to be released in 2011. Hawaiian Governor Linda Lingle made the announcement yesterday (January 19) and says the film generate an estimated $85 million income for the state. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed the news, stating, “We’ve always sought out the most extraordinary and exotic locations… (and) Hawaii provides an amazing range of both land and seascapes.” Other films to be shot in Hawaii this year are Clint Eastwood‘s Hereafter and George Clooney‘s The Descendants. The last season of null is currently being filmed in Hawaii as well, on the island of Oahu. ~Alexandra Heilbron

i dont have them yet (im surprised) what year was the last one released again jo? i didnt like the end (the part on the boat where they, yanno, while fighting?) dont wanna ruin it for anyone that hasnt saw! i saw all of them in theatres when they were released with my cousin. maybe ill get lucky and she will be here from NB to go see this one with me? 🙂
are Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley coming back for this one as well? It’s not a pirates movie without the three of them…
the last one was my least fave, mandee, but I have to admit I really enjoy this type of movie, like the H.Potter’s, just a lot of adventure and fun! I have seen them all in theatre as well, and that will be even more enjoyable for you if your cousin makes it up for this one too!

yeah i really like all 3 of them as well. depp especially! i also love harry potter jo, just not the last one either. was disappointed in it 🙁
I also love these movies, and the last Pirates movie was also my least favorite of the three, but I’ll still be seeing this one, and buying it as soon as it’s in stores. Also I agree, I loved the HP movies as well and own them all.
underzenith, I agree, the three of them together makes a really great Pirate movie, but I heard that Keira and Orlando will not be in this one.

yeah i really didnt like the movie, it didnt seem as fun or adventurous to me as the others. maybe im outgrowing it? no i havent read the books, ive been meaning to (i have the first 2 or 3) i just have material issues lmao i dont like the feeling of the pages (they actually hurt my skin) so i generally only read when im at work and have gloves at my disposal!

Your skin must be extremely sensitive. Some people are very “touch sensitive”. It’s no cure, but I hope you use lots of skin lotion on your hands. If your skin is dry that could make the problem worse, and lotion may help even a little bit.
Btw, read the books! They’re really good!

tg, i do use tons of lotion, and youre right ! when they are dry it gets sooo much worse. i cant stand a lot of things, cotton clothes, cotton balls, newspapers, book pages, fleece, soft bathroom tissue, tissue for your nose, velvet, corduroy, the list is BIG those are just the main ones!
