Edward Furlong – Terminator 2: Judgment Day

The role of a young John Connor in James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgment Day was easily one of the most sought-after young roles in Hollywood when it went into production in the late 1980s. To play the younger version of humanity's savior required a certain level of appeal, as the young John Connor would need to be believable as the future leader of the human resistance, but also showcase the kind of innocence and vulnerability that someone growing up in a turbulent situation would display. James Cameron found that in a young Edward Furlong, and his performance became such a defining one for the character of John Connor. Even now, with four other actors having taken on the role in various films and TV series, Furlong's take on Connor remains the fan favorite of the franchise. Although Furlong's career didn’t blossom into stardom, his John Connor will remain a strong example of his film legacy.
