Malcolm X (1992)

This movie follows the life of one of the most popular Civil Rights activists in America: Malcolm X. It features key events from his life, including the time he spent in jail, his marriage, conversion to Islam, and eventual assassination. At face value, the film is a history lesson for all viewers, but also gives them an insight into just how hard the Black community had to work to get to where they are today, including in the fight for equality, and how far society still has to go.
