Get Out

One of the year's biggest hits was the horror film Get Out, written and directed by Jordan Peele. The film was nominated for Best Director, Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay at this year's Oscars, making Peele the first African-American to score a triple nomination in writing, directing and producing. The film follows an interracial couple who go on a weekend getaway to meet her parents, but what follows is a disturbing turn of events. Scoring a 99 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating, Get Out is exactly the kind of film that deserves Oscar attention.
