John Wayne – The Conqueror (1956)

The worst thing to be said about this ill-conceived film isn't that they tried to sell audiences on John Wayne being the infamous Mongolian conqueror or the massive historical inaccuracies it portrayed, but how lazily it tried to alter its actors to "look" Mongolian. The film's makeup department ultimately settled on just lightly brown-facing its cast to give them their tanned look, making it both racist and just plain lazy.
