Harrison Ford – The Fugitive

When it comes to actor Harrison Ford it was a toss-up as to which of his serious injuries to choose. A more recent pick would be the freak accident on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in which a piece of the Millennium Falcon set fell on Ford's leg, breaking it. However, instead I want to highlight the injuries Ford sustained during filming of his hit 1993 film The Fugitive. In the film Ford plays Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent man on the run after being framed for murder. As he avoids the U.S. Marshals led by Tommy Lee Jones as Samuel Gerard, one sequence called for Kimble to escape through the woods. While seemingly harmless enough, Ford would end up damaging several ligaments in his knee. Normally an injury like this would require surgery, but Ford opted to wait until after filming was complete, suggesting the limp would add to his character. As a result, any subsequent scene involving Kimble running featured him limping.
