Leonardo DiCaprio – Django Unchained

When it comes to Hollywood A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio, there is very little question about his dedication to his craft. His six Oscar nominations are evidence of that, but perhaps one of his most dedicated performances is one that he wasn't nominated for. That would be his role of Calvin Candie in director Quentin Tarantino's 2012 western Django Unchained. The scene features the infamous sequence in which Leo's character smashes his hand on the dining table after discovering that his guests have been conspiring against him. The scene plays out as if Leo's gash to his hand was a natural part of the sequence when it was not, but he continues the scene until it is finished and you are seeing him actually bleed during the scene.
