Lewis Tan – Iron Fist

Continuing on with the train of thought of recasting Marvel Netflix shows we come to Danny Rand, a.k.a. the Iron Fist. Now it should be pointed out that Lewis Tan did appear in Iron Fist as an adversarial character named Zhou Cheng — however, something like that hasn't stopped Marvel from reusing actors in new roles, including Mahershala Ali and Gemma Chan, who had previously appeared in Luke Cage and Captain Marvel respectively. Tan himself had lobbied for the role of Iron Fist as a new interpretation for the character, but Marvel stayed true to the character and kept him white, leading to the casting of Finn Jones. That decision was met both with disappointment and criticism as Jones was widely viewed as miscast. Marvel can rectify that decision by being more flexible and bringing in Tan once again for the role he originally fought for.
