Edward Norton – Alita: Battle Angel

One common technique for franchise baiting in films is to tease the villain of a potential sequel right at the end of the film. That is exactly what happened at the end of Robert Rodriguez' Alita: Battle Angel, as audiences were treated to a surprise appearance by Edward Norton looking down at Alita and the Scrapyard. Revealed to be the mysterious Nova, his revelation was meant to set him up as the primary villain of a potential sequel. However, that is unlikely now due to the film's underperformance at the box office. That said, Norton's cameo is nonetheless surprising.
