23 Perception-Changing Deleted Movie Scenes

Filmmaking is an arduous process, especially once you get to the post-production phase. Editing down months of footage into a final cut of the movie can often lead to difficult decisions to cut out, remove and/or redo entire scenes. Some of the reasons may be for pacing, redundancy, tonal inconsistency, or negative test-audience reactions. It’s a shame, given how often many of these scenes end up changing audiences’ perspectives on characters and recontextualizing other scenes. However, the end result is that these scenes are left on the cutting room floor to either be added in a later director’s cut edition, or as a bonus feature on the home video release. Here are 23 deleted and/or alternate scenes that could’ve changed films for the better. ~Paolo Maquiraya
