Eddie the Eagle (2015)

One of the ultimate underdog stories in the history of sports, director Dexter Fletcher's Eddie the Eagle follows the story of British ski jumper Eddie Edwards and his journey to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Taron Egerton takes on the lead role and instantly makes him one of the most sympathetic sports heroes in cinematic history, even if he doesn’t have the skill to back it up. This is as feel-good as you can get and if you’re unfamiliar with this story, be ready to have your expectations subverted and cheer on Eddie.
