The Guest (2014)

Director Adam Wingard’s 2014 film The Guest is a hard one to peg down. Part horror thriller, part action flick with a twist of black comedy, the film is led by Dan Stevens’ compelling and revelatory performance in his first feature film leading role. He gives his character David a perfect blend of charisma and mystique that demands your attention, and Simon Barrett’s screenplay leaves enough crumbs for you to follow along, wanting more and more along the way.
