Minority Report (2002)

Legendary director Steven Spielberg and movie star Tom Cruise combined their A-list talent to collaborate on the critically and commercially successful sci-fi thriller Minority Report. Cruise stars as John Anderton, 2054 Washington D.C.'s captain of PreCrime, a new division of law enforcement that uses "precogs" (one of which is played by Samantha Morton) to prophesize crimes before they happen. It's a flawless system, until John discovers that he has been predetermined to murder a man in 36 hours. Loosely adapted from a Philip K. Dick short story, it's an original concept made into movie-going magic by Spielberg's inventive filmmaking style and Cruise's innate on-screen charisma.
