We all know Katie Holmes was married to Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012. But did you know she was engaged for two years to actor Chris Klein (American Pie)? They began dating when Katie was shooting the TV series Dawson’s Creek on location in Wilmington, North Carolina. When the show wrapped in 2003, she followed him to Los Angeles. But by 2005, Klein’s personal life was all over the tabloids. He was arrested for DUI in February 2005 and a month later, the engagement was off. Klein denied that one had anything to do with the other. Only eight weeks later, Katie was engaged to Tom Cruise. And we know how that turned out.
