Multi Grammy award-winner Aretha Franklin was known as the Queen of Soul. In 1980, she made her movie debut alongside John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in The Blues Brothers (pictured above). A singer/songwriter, actress and Civil Rights activist, she died at her home in Detroit at age 76 on August 16th of pancreatic cancer.
