Tom Lester – April 20, 2020

Tom Lester was best known for his role as bumbling but winsome farmhand Eb Dawson on the hit TV sitcom Green Acres (pictured above, top middle) from 1967 to 1971. He also played the character on other popular TV series of the time, including Petticoat Junction and The Beverly Hillbillies. When the series ended, he found himself typecast and although he had guest appearances on a number of TV series and roles in movies such as Benji (1974) and Gordy (1994), he returned to farming life in Mississippi and also became a Christian speaker. He died at age 81 from complications of Parkinson's disease in Nashville, Tennessee on April 20, 2020.
