Jim Carrey

Born and raised in Newmarket, Ontario, Jim Carrey is one of the most recognized comedians and actors in the world. Many would be surprised to hear that he came from very humble and difficult beginnings. His father lost his job when Jim was young, so he was forced to drop out of high school to help out. Jim had janitor and security guard jobs, but it was not enough to sustain the family. They lost their home and were forced to live out of a van. Jim eventually made the move to Los Angeles and began work as a struggling comedian. It was then that he hit it big on the TV series In Living Color. The rest, as you know, is hilarious history.
