Toy Story (1995)

Strangely enough, Toy Story (1995) has various nods to Stanley Kubrick's horror classic The Shining (1980) — a little morbid when you consider the two films’ differing subject matter! Nonetheless, one of these nods comes in the form of a clever interior design choice. Notice how the pattern on the upstairs carpet in Sid's house is the same design as the carpet in the Overlook Hotel in The Shining? Creepy, but cool.

Oh these entertainment types LOVE to do that sort of thing; always have.
Here’s another one: In “The Dark Knight” chase scene in which Joker and his crew have commandeered a truck, he’s changed the motto of the truck’s company (Laughter is the Best Medicine) by adding a Big Red ‘S’ at the beginning. This does two things (that other DC icon, you know).
